Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa remains defiant after fans called for him to leave the club following the poor start to the season while the board has also backed his leadership
Dynamos slumped to their third defeat of the season at the weekend and the loss triggered ugly scenes as fans protested against the club’s leadership.
The Dynamos bus was damaged by stones, while club secretary Webster Chikengezha’s car had its wind screen hit. Dynamos fans also had running battles with the police and the club security before order was eventually restored.
But despite the reaction and calls for his resignation Mubaiwa Dynamos believe he is still the right man to lead the club with the club board also insisting he is not going anywhere.
Speaking to the Herald Dynamos board chairman Bernard Marriott , “We have faith in our executive led by Kenny Mubaiwa ,we are fully behind them.
“I believe those guys are doing their best to get the team to the top he added.
Meanwhile Mubaiwa has promised to take stern action against fans who damaged property and went on the violent rampage. The damage to property after the mayhem will reportedly cost the club more than $10 000.
Mubaiwa called for police to use pictures and video footage to nail the culprits saying the club had zero tolerance when it came to violence.
