Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Erol Akbay blamed referee Munyaradzi Majoni for their 1-0 defeat to Triangle United on Wednesday.
The Sugar Boys got their goal from Russell Madamombe who converted from the spot in the first half after defender Ariel Makopa used his hand to stop a goal-bound effort.
This resulted in Makopa getting a straight red card.
Madamburo suffered another blow in the second period when they were reduced to nine men after Marlon Mushonga received his marching orders for crude challenge on the opponent.
Speaking after the match, Akbay was not happy with the referee’s performance on the day.
He said: “The referee has defeated us today. The football authorities must do something to such kinds of match officiating.”
Ngezi remain on 28 points in the 6th position.
