Kaitano Tembo’s SuperSport United face a tough test when they square off with Soweto giants Orlando Pirates in the ABSA Premiership tonight.
United, who are without a point in this new campaign after going down 2-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns in the opening round of fixtures, will be desperate to collect maximum points against Pirates.
That won’t be easy though, Milutin Sredojević’s charges are of the strongest teams in the league, and their 2-0 triumph over Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup, coupled by an impressive 3-1 win over Bloem Celtic in the opening round of league fixtures, was a clear testimony that they are continuing from where they left last season.
The two sides cancelled out each last season, with Pirates getting a 3-1 win in the first fixture while SuperSport egded the Buccaneers 1-0 in the reverse game.
Kick off is 19:30hrs.
