Knowledge Musona has ruled out a possibility of returning to South Africa anytime soon amid speculation he could leave Belgian giants Anderlecht in this pre-season.
The Warriors winger who is currently in Egypt with the national team at the 2019 Afcon has been linked with a move back to his former club Kaizer Chiefs after spending the last half of last campaign on loan at Lokeren.
Earlier in the month, the 29-year old expressed dismay with his club for not giving him enough game time and he even regretted the decision to join the side last year on a four-year deal.
According to The Citizen newspaper, Musona declared he does not think any South African team could afford to buy him out of his contract at Anderlecht.
“They love me there in South Africa, and when the time is right I will go back,” said Musona.
“South Africa is my home, not only one club, but the whole country.
“Remember, I said I still have a three-year contract, and I don’t know if any team from South Africa can buy me out of my contract. It is going to be difficult, in football you never know we will see what happens.
“I cannot predict the future, at the moment, I will play here (at the Africa Cup of Nations, and do my best for the country.”
When asked where he would like to go, Musona added:
“A good team where I can play football and enjoy it. I just want to go where I’m appreciated and loved.”
