A promotion wrangle between Masvingo United and Mutare City Rovers could threaten the start of the 2016 Premier Soccer League season.
Mutare City Rovers won the Eastern Region championship last season but Masvingo United disputed their win claiming they had fielded an ineligible player. Masvingo United went as far as getting a court ruling preventing Mutare City Rovers from being declared the winners until the matter is resolved.
ZIFA have been investigating the matter and are yet to come up with a judgement .With the Premiership set to kickoff in March the case could drag on and possibly compromising the league start.
Meanwhile PSL boss Kennedy Ndebele indicated that they were in the process of structuring the league season after being handed ZIFA’s calendar.
