Assistant referee Thomas Kusosa is among the match officials selected for this year’s Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
The tournament begins this Sunday and runs until 28 April.
Zifa confirmed the development in a statement on their website on Friday.
“Local assistant referee Thomas Kusosa is the only Zimbabwean match official representing the country at this year’s Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Tanzania,” reads the statement.
“…His first match is on the second day of the tournament, and it pits Cameroon and Guinea who are in Group B together with Morocco and Senegal.”
Kusosa has been on duty in the CAF interclub competitions since 2017. He was an assistant referee at the 2017 COSAFA Cup.
