The provisional Warriors squad for the 2019 Afcon qualifier against Congo next month is expected to be announced this week.

The Sunday Chidzambwa’s charges take on the Central Africans at National Sports Stadium in Harare on 22 March.

According to H-Metro, team manager Wellington Mpandare said they will finalise the selection today.

He said: “We will announce the team this week, we are to finalise it tomorrow (today).

“We are hoping to bring one or two players, Kelly Lunga and Macauley Bonne, and certainly we are going to drop some players from the previous squad.”

Mpandare has also revealed that the bulk of targeted foreign-born players will be drafted in the national U23 team which will also be in action in the same week when they play in back-to-back Afcon qualifiers against Mozambique.
