Highlanders winger Gabriel Nyoni has dismissed reports suggesting that he is set to join rivals CAPS United.
The 27-year-old’s contract with Bosso expires at the end of this month, and it has been reported in a local publication that he will not sign a new deal.
But the Tshilamoya vice-captain has refuted the claims saying if he had signed for any team, he would have made it official.
Nyoni tweeted this morning saying: “Don’t push me away. I can sign for Highlanders even when my eyes are closed. If I was a Billionaire I would play for Highlanders for Free. If I sign for any other Club I will make it official🙏”

In an interview with the Chronicle, Nyoni, however, admitted that he has received offers from three PSL clubs including CAPS United but has never agreed on anything as Highlanders remain his first preference.
“They just gave me an offer (CAPS United) just like two other clubs. But I haven’t signed anything as yet.
“Highlanders have always been my first preference for the past six years, and I have renewed my contract three times with my childhood team thus I have to hear from them first before considering any other offer,” said Nyoni.
