Warriors manager Wellington Mpandarare says England-based striker Macauley Bonne’s papers are now ready for submission to the relevant authorities to make him eligible for the national team.
Bonne who has two national caps from friendly matches played last year doesn’t hold a local passport and could be the next player after Tendai Darikwa to join the Zimbabwe squad.
“I got in touch with him (Macauley Bonne) when we were in DRC, and he now has his papers in order and what is left is to submit to the relevant authorities to make him eligible for Zimbabwe,” Mpandare told the Herald.
“The passport office is willing to assist. The registrar general’s office is also working on a plan to assist Kelly Lunga in Germany.”
The 22-year-old plays for Leyton Orient in the National League, the fifth tier of the English football league system.
