Kaizer Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe could miss the season opener against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday after he reportedly picked up an ankle injury.
According to Soccer Laduma, the extent of the injury is not known at this point in time, but the 22-year-old centre back is a doubt for the clash this weekend.
Hadebe also missed the first half of the previous season with an ankle problem and was dropped from the Warriors squad for COSAFA Cup in May after failing to recover from another knock he picked up towards the end of the campaign.
Meanwhile, his team-mate and Chiefs’ new signing will be available for the Sundowns match. Billiat limped off during the preseason friendly against Cape Town City last weekend, and he has since been declared fit.
