Zimbabwe International and Kaizer defender Teenage Hadebe has lamented a season plagued by injury which will see him miss the Warriors dance at the Cosafa Cup senior men challenge.
The experienced 22-year-old was restricted to 13 starts and one substitute appearances in 2017/18 due to hamstring and groin problems sustained midway through the campaign. He missed the last five games of the season and was ruled out of the Zimbabwe national team.
Jele is determined to come back stronger but lamented on his displeasure in missing up on a chance to represnt the national team.
“It’s an honour to represent my country, I am glad for the [provisional] call-up. Unfortunately I had an ankle problem so the club [Kaizer Chiefs] has decided to rest me,” Hadebe told COSAFA’s official website.
“I didn’t even play for the last five games of the season and I am so disappointed at having to miss out on the COSAFA Cup. I just want to wish the guys all the best of luck.”
