In a shocking move, ZIFA has with immediate effect fired Warriors team coach Callisto Pasuwa and his entire technical team weeks before the start of CHAN 2016.
Though the reasons for the sacking was not revealed Pasuwa who had already taken charge of Warriors training camp ahead of the CHAN 2016 tournament will now pave way for recently crowned 2015 league champion and Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas.
ZIFA vice president Omega Sibanda confirmed the latest development in the official ZIFA Website.
Sibanda said an extra-ordinary meeting of the ZIFA national executive committee held this Thursday in Harare resolved that the entire Warriors technical team head by Pasuwa be relieved of its duties.
Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya and Mandla Mpofu takes over as assistant coaches in the total overhaul of the technical team whilst Highlanders’ interim Technical advisor takes over as Fitness Manager.
The latest developments means the Warriors team assembled by Pasuwa will be dissolved and the new technical team will announce a new squad and the training program will be announced in due course.
The following have been appointed to take charge of the 2016 Chan Tournament, and 2017 African Cup of Nations Campaign.
