Dynamos and the Premier Soccer League are reportedly set to meet today for crunch talks after Dembare’s threat to boycott the Netone Easycall Cup semi-finals this weekend.
Dynamos feel they have been treated unfairly following a judgement made by the PSL disciplinary committee that banned Rodreck Mutuma and Takesure Chinyama for misconduct after the Chibuku Super Cup final with Harare City.
Both Mutuma and Chinyama have been fined $1000 and handed four match bans a decision that has infuriated the Dynamos executive.
Dynamos secretary general Webster Chikengzha says the club felt there was no consistency in judgements and the club was being targeted while similar offence’s by other clubs were not looked at.
But now the two parties will meet to try and resolve their differences with the PSL keen to avoid a situation that may lead to bad publicity if Dynamos do indeed pull out.
Dynamos’ threats of pulling out have already overshadowed the build up to the semi-finals all set for this weekend.
Both matches are scheduled to take place at Barbourfields Stadium, with Chicken Inn and CAPS United meeting on Saturday, while Highlanders and Dynamos meet on Sunday.
