How Mine coach Kelvin Kaindu believes his side will prevail over ‘voodoo users’ Harare City in the Chibuku Super Cup by the grace of the Lord.
Kaindu said they are expecting dirty tricks from Harare City from the time they will arrive at Rufaro stadium for the match.
“ We have been praying everyday for divine intervention. You know when you play against a team that believes in other things and with a lot happening before the match is played,” said Kaindu.
“ We know that they are going to employ every dirty trick on us once we arrive at Rufaro stadium. We know the type of the team we are playing but we have been praying over that. We know we are going to prevail because of divine intervention,”.
This is the second time that Kaindu and Philani ‘Beefy ‘Ncube are meeting in a Cup final. They met in the Mbada Diamonds Cup in 2013 when Kaindu was at Highlanders and Ncube at How Mine.
Kaindu triumphed with Peter ‘Rio’ Moyo now at How Mine putting up a man of the match performance, capping it up with a goal in the 3-0 win.
The winner of the Chibuku Super Cup will represent Zimbabwe in the Confederation Cup next year. The winner will also play against the league winners in the cup to celebrate the local premier league ‘s 25th anniversary.
