FC Platinum will travel to Bulawayo to play Highlanders where they are hoping to boost their chances of winning their first ever championship.

The clash promises to be a potentially explosive encounter with both teams bursting with confidence ahead of the match. The visitors are on a six league match unbeaten run while Bosso have managed to find their mojo of late.

The Bulawayo giants registered a heavy 4-0 victory in their last round and they will be praying to build on that.

The encounter will be an open play as neither side has managed to clearly dominate another.  With 13 league meetings between them, Highlanders have won five matches while Pure Platinum Play have four wins.

Meanwhile the hosts are currently on 9th position with 37 points. FC Platinum need a win today in order to keep up with the momentum at the top. They are sitting on third on the log and could move to within a point from log leaders Dynamos who have 57 points.

In the first leg of the encounter this season, the match was abandoned minutes before full time after crowd violence broke out. Hopefully this time the game will not be marred by anything of that sort.

Elsewhere, in another game to be played this afternoon, CAPS United will date Triangle United at National Sports Stadium.

Makepekepe’s recent form has been impressive. They have managed to post four wins from their last six league matches. They face a side which has been inconsistent.

The games between the two teams has been dominated by draws and its hard to tell the outcome of the game as the result may swing either way.
