FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has refused to look at other teams’ performance saying his focus is on winning all remaining features of the season.
The Zvishavane based side are on a four match winning run. They are second on log with 51 points, only separated with leaders Chicken Inn on goal difference.
Mapeza said he his team needs to concentrate more on their remaining games so that they don’t lose focus.
“I am not going to comment about what other teams are doing we just have to concentrate on our games and that is why we are here. If we are going to spend time looking at what others are doing I think we will lose our focus. We just need to concentrate on our games, that’s it,”
The gaffer also said he does not want to read much into the weekend’s results but urged his team to continue building up from every game they play.
They beat How Mine 1-0 at Mandava over the weekend.
“One nil victory is sometimes good but it puts too much pressure on us. If we get another goal it becomes much easier,” he added.
However Mapeza is also worried about his team’s failure to convert most chances which come on their way. During their last four matches they have scored four times only and the coach feels they need to do more.
