Shabanie Mine’s recent 1-0 win over Ngezi Platinum Stars over the weekend seemed to have thawed the frosty relationship between head coach Takesure Chiragwi and the team’s supporters.
Chiragwi was under pressure after posting a series of poor results and the Bvaru Bvaru faithfuls wanted his chop at some point.
The Zvishavane based side had gone for five consecutive games without a win. They only scored once on the way and Saturday’s victory came with a relief.
Chiragwi expressed his gratitude to the fans for their support during the game and urged them to continue doing what is best for the team.
“I am very happy with the support we got from our fans, they didn’t boo the players. They were cheering us and that is fantastic,” he said.
“They are the twelfth man and they should do the best for the team. I urge them to keep on doing that, even when we lose the game lets keep on supporting the team.”
The Chinda Boys are on position 15 on the log with 25 points. Their next game is away to Chapungu in a matchday 25 fixture on Saturday afternoon.
