Chapungu and Highlanders played a one all draw in an incident filled match at Ascot Stadium in a Castle Lager premiership match at Ascot Stadium.
Philip Marufu opened the scoring for the hosts in the 36th minute after taking advantage of some sloppy marking by the Highlanders defensive pair of Erick Mudzingwa and Honest Moyo who left him with acres of space and fired past a badly exposed Ariel Sibanda from close range.
Bosso replied two minutes before the break when they were awarded a penalty after Knox Mutizwa was felled in the box by William Ngonya.
Mutizwa took the resultant spot kick beating a diving Roy Mazingi in goals for the hosts and taking his goal tally to twelve remaining a firm favourite for the Golden Boot.
Mutizwa thought he had completed a brace after being fed by Obadiah Tarumbwa to beat Mazingi but his effort was ruled for offside by second assistant, Chenjerai Chohumbiri.
The offside call incensed Highlanders supporters who reacted by throwing onto the pitch and forced a six minute stoppage.
When play resumed both sides created a couple of chances which either missed the target or were saved by the keepers and in the end both teams were content with a draw.
