Bulawayo City clinched the Southern region league title after registering a 1-0 win over Trumus yesterday.

Bulawayo City have unassailable seven point gap over second placed Bulawayo Chiefs with two games left.

Bulawayo City are coached by former How Mine and Chicken Inn coach Philani ‘Beefy’ Ncube and are bank rolled by the Bulawayo City council . The side boasts some former ZPSL talent that have played a key part in the side’s promotion.

Their squad includes former Highlanders trio of Innocent Mapuranga,Welcome Ndiweni and Simba Sithole.

City become the second team to get promotion in the top flight after Ngezi Platinum sealed the Northern Region title last week.
