Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane believes Khama Billiat is becoming a more mature player by focusing more on playing for the team.
Billiat scored as Sundowns continued to move up the ABSA Premiership standings with 2-1 win over Platinum Stars.
Despite the goal Billiat is yet to reach the same level he achieved last season that saw him crowned Player of the Year and finishing as runner up to CAF African Footballer of the Year based in Africa.
“He’s maturing. He’s no longer a youngster and he’s no longer playing for glory Mosimane told Kickoff.com
“I think what helped him was to win footballer of the year in South Africa, and now he was named Africa’s second-best player of the year, which is quality,.
“He now starts to understand. I hope he’s not sitting on his laurels to say, ‘I’ve made it now, what else?’ He must be African footballer of the year.
