Zimbabwean international Cuthbert Malajila scored the winner as Bidvest Wits beat St. Louisienne 3-1 at the Bidvest Stadium today.
Wits trailed 2-1 from the first leg but managed to turn things in dramatic fashion to progress on a 4-3 aggregate scoreline.
Daniel Klate gave the home side the lead with a well taken free kick in the first half. Sifiso Myeni then made it two just after half-time.
Saint Louisienne then pulled one back with 12 minutes to go and looked set to force the match into extra time. However Malajila coming on as a substitute produced a moment of brilliance scoring the third and winner with a volley on the turn.
The goal saw Wits progress on a 4-3 aggregate win and will now meet Al Ahly in the next round of the preliminary stage.
