Highlanders head coach Erol Akbay says if the club doesn’t manage to get another sponsorship deal with BancAbc he will not bounce back next year to take charge
Bosso’s five year sponsorship deal with the banking entity is set to run out on 31 December and the two parties are reportedly to have been in talks but nothing has materialised yet.
Akbay had a good debut season with Highlanders coming close to the title but eventually running out of steam and finishing the season in third place.
“I will soon be going back to.Holland but if Highlanders does not get any sponsor, I will not come back revealed the Dutchman. I’m set to come back in February but without a sponsor means not salary for me,” he added
Bosso,who are set to hold their awards ceremony on Friday night, are said to be in contract negotiations with their senior players while veteran goalkeeper Njabulo Nyoni, left back Julius Daudi and striker Kasimero Chimbadzwa are in the departure lounge.
