ZIFA have indicated they want to take the former association president Cuthbert Dube to the police. ZIFA inherited a $7 million debt from Dube’s administration and have been pursued by debtors since taking office.
Chiyangwa’s attempt to dissolve ZIFA and form another association back fired. However after Dube and his associates ignored calls to account for the debt Chiyangwa is now keen to take the legal route.
Part of a statement by Chiyangwa read:
Former ZIFA executive Committee members lead by Cuthbert Dube who ran down the association finances during their reign will be reported to the police for criminal abuse of office.
