Golden Arrows winger Kuda Mahachi admits he turned down the chance to join Kaizer Chiefs in the off season.
Mahachi joined Golden Arrows from Mamelodi Sundowns but before the move there was interest in his signature from a number of club including Kaizer Chiefs.
However having rediscovered his form during a good spell at Golden Arrows ,Mahachi felt a return to the club was the best thing for his career.
“I was supposed to go to Chiefs but I needed to make a decision Mahachi told the Sowetan. “I went to Arrows (last season) and they gave me a chance to play. I owe them something for giving me a chance and that’s why it was OK for me to go back to Arrows,” he said.
“I’m not scared of the competition, but I need to grow my confidence first and then I can go to a big team he added.
Mahachi is expected to be back for Golden Arrows when the ABSA Premiership season resumes this weekend after recovering from an injury sustained while on national team duty with the Warriors.
