Amazulu head coach Joey Antipas says the weather conditions were partly to blame as his team suffered their first defeat of the National First Division season.
Amazulu were beaten 2-1 by FC Cape Town.
The wind affected us big time Antipas told the official club website.” It was a game of two halves. We had the wind in our back in the first half but we didn’t utilize that advantage.”
“I thought FC Cape Town defended quite well in the first half and I thought if we’d played the ball more in the first half to try and get some shorts on target it could’ve been much better.”
“We have to go back and get ourselves ready for the next game, and try and bounce back,” said Antipas.
The defeat cost Amazulu top spot on the table with 10 points and are now is second spot due to an inferior goal difference to first placed Thanda Royal Zulu.
Meanwhile Black Leopards who are under the guidance of another Zimbabwean in Jairos Tapera are in fourth position with 8 points
