Dynamos have crashed out of the Chibuku Super Cup after losing 5-4 on penalties to How Mine at Rufaro Stadium.
Action swung from one end to another in normal time but neither side could find the back of the net leading into a penalty shoot-out.
In the penalty shoot-out that followed both teams converted their first four spot kickts. Donovan Bernard saved Wisdom Mutasa to give How Mine the advantage.However Tatenda Mukuruva kept Dynamos in the game when he saved Praise Tonha’s penalty.
Mukuruva though took the next penalty for Dynamos and saw his effort saved by Bernard.
Donovan Bernard then won the game when he scored past national team keeper Tatenda Mukuruva as How Mine booked a place in the quarterfinals of the competition.
In other games Ralph Matema was again the hero when he scored the winners as Highlanders beat a stubborn Mutare City side 2-1 at Barbourfields Stadium.
Highlanders took the lead following an own goal just before the halftime break but Mutare City equalised minutes after resumption of play in the second half.
Matema then sealed the win in the 80th minute.
At Gibbo Stadium Hardlife Mavundi’s goal put Triangle into the quarterfinals with a 1-0 win over Chicken Inn.
