CAPS United assistant coach Mark Mathe says they did not have the drive to get a positive result against Bulawayo City yesterday.

CAPS went down 3-1 to determined Bulawayo City.

“We are not happy with regards the result. We didn’t have the drive to win. We were not clinical enough in-front of goal. Our inability to deal with those long balls let us down,” said Mathe.

Despite the energy sapping defeat, they we will remain focused. The result saw  CAPS United’s title chances suffer a blow and now trial leaders FC Platinum by five points.

“This is a competition. This race is still on and there are bound to be ups and downs. We will keep competing,” added Mathe.

His opposite number, Try Ncube said they are on the right track as they seek to survive relegation.

“It was a tough game for us but I believe our tactics of soaking their and pressing from the front helped us a lot. We are on the right track. Our intention is to survive relegation by getting results,” said Ncube.

Ncube is City’s caretaker coach following the suspension of the club’s head coach Philani “Beefy” Ncube and Farai Mujtokoro suspension over match fixing allegations.

Beefy and Mujokoro are set to attend their club’s disciplinary hearing today.
