Ricardo Quaresma scored in the 117th minute as Portugal booked their spot in the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 with a 1-0 win over Croatia in Lens.
Poland also progressed through to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 after they edged out Switzerland in a penalty shootout in Saint-Etienne.
After the game had ended in a 1-1 draw, new Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka blazed the ball wide for Switzerland and that proved to be the only miss as Poland set up a last-eight showdown with Portugal.
Wales won the battle of the home nations on Saturday at Euro 2016 with a 1-0 triumph over Northern Ireland, but only because of a second-half own goal from defender Gareth McAuley.
