Evans Katema is closing the gap in the Golden Boot race with three games to play until the end of this season.

The Dynamos forward is two goals behind the leading scorer Clive Augusto who is no longer playing in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

Augusto left the league in July to join South African side Maritzburg United. He scored fourteen goals before his departure, and since then no one has surpassed his mark.

Katema who got seven of his fourteen goals during his time at Mushowani Stars has shown some potential to win the race. He has rather made more assists since joining the Glamour Boys in the mid-season transfer window.

Also among the leading pack on the scoring chart is CAPS United midfielder Joel Ngodzo, Ishmael Wadi of Harare City and TelOne’s King Nadolo who has been netting more goals in recent games.
