Warriors skipper Knowledge Musona reminded many Zimbabweans of how good he still is after assisting Khama Billiat’s double in the 2-1 victory over Zambia in an AFCON 2021 Group H qualifier today.

The 29-year-old striker’s pressence in the team sparked a lot of debate, with some suggesting that his lack of game time at Anderlecht is proof that he does not deserve a place but his performance today left all who doubted him, egg-faced.

Musona’s deadly combination with Khama Billiat, which has over the years produced magical moments for Zimbabwe, was essential once again tonight. Musona’s well-taken corner kick was headed in by Billiat in the 10th minute for the Warriors’ opener.

On the second goal, in the 78th minute, Musona received a long ball just outside the 18 yard box and chested it down before making a run. He made his way past two defenders and squared  the ball to an unmarked Billiat, who tapped it past the advancing keeper.
