Watch: Khama Billiat’s brace against Zambia

Khama Billiat scored a brace which earned Zimbabwe a vital 2-1 victory against Zambia in an Afcon qualifier played in Lusaka on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old put a great combined performance with Knowledge Musona who set him up in both goals.

The first goal came in the 10th minute when Billiat headed in a Musona’s corner-kick to open the scoring.

The second strike came in the second half against the run of play after the hosts had seized the possession at the start of the second half. Zambia had equalised in the first half through Patson Daka and were searching for a winner.

Musona received a long ball just outside the box and chested it down before making a run. He beat two markers at once as he squared the ball to an unmarked Billiat who tapped it past the advancing keeper in the 79th minute.

The result put Zimbabwe into the second position with four points, two behind Algeria. Zambia are rooted at the bottom with zero points. Botswana lies in third place.
