Defending African champions Algeria got their 2021 qualifying campaign off to a flyer with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Group H opponents Zambia yesterday.
The Desert Foxes scored four goals in the second half to ensure their biggest win since 2016 and go top of Group H.
They had gone into the half time break leading 1-0 courtesy of a Ramy Bensebaini goal in the 44th minute.
Baghdad Bounced doubled Algeria’s lead from the penalty spot after the interval then Youcef Belaili made it 3-0 for the Foxes in the 73rd minute.
El Arbi Hillel Soudani made it 4-0 with 4 minutes left of play only for Bounced to make it 5 with his second goal of the game in the 90th minute off a Riyad Mahrez assist.
The other two Group H participants Zimbabwe and Botswana meet in Harare today.
