Warriors left-back Divine Lunga has picked up an injury ahead of Warriors’ Afcon Qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia.
The full-back suffered a groin injury during the national team’s training session on Thursday, according to a statement by ZIFA.
The injury setback is a blow to coach Joey Antipas who has already lost a couple of players due to injuries.
Bloemfontein Celtic defender Ronald Pfumbidzai is now expected to start in Friday’s game against Botswana at National Sports Stadium should Lunga fails to recover before the game.
Unfortunate news from the Warriors training ground
The man who marked Mohamed Salah out of the game on 21 June has suffered a groin strain.
Medical Doctor Xolani Ndlovu said an MRI scan will determine how long he is likely to be inactive
