Warriors caretaker coach Joey Antipas believes he still has good players in his national team squad for the Afcon Qualifiers after a couple of stars pulled out due to varying reasons.
The gaffer lost strikers Tinotenda Kadewere and Macauley Bonne due to injury issues.
Kadewere suffered a hamstring injury while on duty for his French Ligue 2 side Le Havre last Friday.
Bonne who was expected to make his competitive debut for the country after receiving his Zimbabwean passport last week also pulled out on medical grounds.
Adam Chicksen requested to be excused so that he can concentrate on getting a new contract at his club.
Speaking to the Herald, Antipas said: “I believe we have some good players in the squad and the likes of Knox Mutizwa have been enjoying a good form of late. I am sure they will be able to stand up and get the job done.”
Meanwhile, several players started reporting for camp yesterday and these include Khama Billiat, Elvis Chipezeze, Alec Mudimu, Marshall Munetsi, Terrence Dzvukamanja, Kuda Mahachi and Thabani Kamusoko.
