Zimbabwe international Marvellous Nakamba got a 9 out of 10 rating for his perforamace against Norwich City on Saturday from British journalist Ashley Preece.
The 25-year-old produced yet another scintillating perfomance in midfield as the Dean Smith-coached side hammered a hapless Norwich 5-1 at Carrow Road.
Preece, who writes for The Birmingham Mail, showered the former Club Brugge man with praise in his performance review, describing him as a “cool cookie”.
“Marvelous Nakamba 9
Marshalled the midfield brilliantly, was there when Villa needed him. The Zimbabwean’s got a trick in his locker, too, which was proved when he spun and Cruyff turned to stifle a Norwich attack. A cool cookie he is,” wrote Preece.
He also took to Twitter to hail the Warriors midfielder.
Villa! Villa! Villa! & du, du, du, Marvelous Nakamba! The Zimbabwean warrior beats the lion on his claret & blue chest before embracing the 3k-strong #AVFC following! Just back from Norwich for the five-star #MOTD showing, too. https://t.co/nxTlPEximm pic.twitter.com/kRxLKVKT7S
