Norman Mapeza’s manager Gibson Mahachi has reiterated that his client will not take any offer until January next year.
Mapeza stepped down as the FC Platinum coach last week after five years at the helm and was quickly linked to several jobs including taking takeover the national team on a substantive basis.
But the coach will not take any offer, even that from Zifa, until January.
In an interview with NewsDay, Mahachi said: “He is taking a break, just to rest for the next three months.
“If anything comes, then it has to be in January because he needs to rest. He has been coaching for the past five years non-stop so he needs time for himself.”
By that time, Zifa will be looking to appoint a substantive coach as the reign of Joey Antipas who is working on an interim basis would have expired at the end of the year.
