French Ligue 1 club Stade de Reims has applauded Marshall Munetsi’s performance in the Warriors win against Somalia on Tuesday.
The France-based midfielder opened the scoring in the 77th minute as Zimbabwe survived a late scare on their way to a 3-1 victory that sent them to the group stage of the qualifiers.
His overall performance was great as he managed to win several balls in midfield and also helped the team in attack.
Posting on Twitter, Reims said: “He sounded the revolt! Scorer of the opening goal for Zimbabwe, Marshall Munetsi, played a major role in the victory against Somalia (3-1). A result that allows his team to gain access to the next stage of the World Cup qualifiers.”

Meanwhile, Munetsi who made his league debut in the weekend before the international break is expected to feature against Nantes on Sunday.
