Tivonge Rushesha took another step towards his dream of breaking into the Swansea senior side after he was included in the team that beat Northampton Town 3-1 in the first round of Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
Rushesha was among the five academy players who were named in the match-day squad. The 17-year old, however, was an unused substitute in the encounter.
The Zimbabwe-born full-back made a name for himself with the development side in March when he got his Premier League 2 debut.
He hasn’t been capped at any level by his adoptive country Wales and is still eligible to feature for Zimbabwe.
