Portguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has exclusively revealed that winning the UEFA Champions League with two different teams makes him different from rival Leo Messi.
The 34-year-old Juventus forward won Europe’s premier club competion with Manchester United in 2008, Real Madrid in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018 and feels that record is the distinction between him and the Argentine ace.
“Messi’s a top player who will be remembered not only for all his Ballons d’Or, but also for always being up there, year after year, like me. The difference between us is that I have played for different clubs and also won the Champions League with different clubs,” Ronaldo said as stated by DAZN.
“There arent many players with five Champions League titles, which is why I feel like have a special bond with the competition,” added Ronaldo, who is also the competition’s all time leading goalscorer.
