Forgotten Zimbabwe-born defender Brendan Galloway has set his target for this campaign at his new club after leaving English Premier League side Everton in the pre-season.
The 23-year old who at one point was regarded as the next big thing in the English football completed a permanent move to Championship side Luton Town FC last month. He moved to the club as a free agent after terminating his contract with the Toffees.
In an interview with Luton Today newspaper, Galloway said he has set his sight on becoming the first-choice left-back for the Hatters.
“There is a massive chance and I’ve just got to get my head down, work as hard as I can,” said the fullback.
“We’ve got a great group of lads here, everyone wants to nail down their place and fight for competition.
“There’s great competition, but hopefully I can work hard and personally for me, I can nail down a position, as long as I continue to work hard and do the right things on and off the pitch.”
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe-born player was an unused substitute when Luton kicked off their campaign last weekend with a 3-3 draw against Middlesbrough.
