Zimbabwean youngster Admiral Muskwe trained with Leicester City’s senior squad in the pre-season and is among a few academy graduates tipped to make their Premier League debuts in this coming campaign.
The Foxes had a training camp in Evian, France last month and manager Brendan Rodgers took nine Under-23s players along. Muskwe featured in some friendly matches and got positive reviews following his impressive performances.
This was noted by a top football website, 90Min.com, who put Muskwe among the Top 5 Leicester youngsters who made great strides in the pre-season.
The club has also affirmed its faith in him by offering him a new deal at the club along with a few Under-23 team regulars.
Ahead of their camp in France, coach Brendan Rodgers was pleased with some of the academy graduates and said: “Looking at some of the younger players, I’ve been very pleased with them.”
“They’ve come away and coped very well,” Rodgers told LCFC TV.
Should the Warriors striker manage to break into the first team in this coming campaign, he will become the latest Zimbabwe to feature in the English Premier League.
Midfielder Marvelous Nakamba who moved to England last week will play for Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, the league is set to start this weekend with Leicester clashing against Wolves while Villa will be at Tottenham.
