Warriors coach Rahman Gumbo was happy to see his side progressing to the final round of the Chan Qualifiers after beating Mauritius at Barbourfields on Sunday.
The Warriors won the match 3-1 to march on a 7-1 aggregate victory.
Highlanders striker Prince Dube scored a hat-trick on the day, finding his first goal on the quarter hour mark to make it 1-1.
His second effort came on minute 67 before rounding up the victory five minutes to full-time.
The visitors got their consolation early in the game through Andrew Aristide.
“We had a dull first half and I think it was largely to do with complacency on the part of my players, but we are happy to progress,” said Gumbo after the game, according to Chronicle.
Zimbabwe are now set to play Lesotho in the final qualifying round.
Meanwhile, Dube has joined an elite group of players who have scored hat-tricks for the national team. These include Peter Ndlovu, Shackman Tauro, Ovidy Karuru, Vitalis Takawira and Knowledge Musona.
