Ngezi Platinum coach Erol Akbay says he will do everything to upset his former club Highlanders this afternoon in a match-day 13 encounter set for Baobab Stadium.
Akbay was at Bosso two years ago before he opted to return to his native Netherlands at the end of 2017. He came back in the country this year after his appointment as the new Ngezi coach and will face the Bulawayo giants for the first time in today’s match.
Speaking ahead of the game, the coach has predicted an exciting tie, but promised to do everything to get a victory.
“It’s always good playing against your former club… But salary is paid by Ngezi, and it means I have to do everything to win that match,” said the Dutchman, according to Newsday.
“Highlanders play good football, but they are not scoring. We play the same type of football, and it will be an exciting game for the fans.”
Kick-off time is at 2 pm.
