Zimbabwe has failed to go beyond the group stages after suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat at the hands of DRC on Sunday.

The Warriors wanted a victory going into the match but a number of injuries and a poor show on the field saw them surrendering the opportunity to finish on the bottom of Group A.

The Congolese now have a slim chance of qualifying to the second round as one of the best 3rd-placed runners-up.

Uganda ended the group campaign second.
