Zifa president Felton Kamambo has hit Member of Parliament for Norton Temba Mliswa with a ZW$6 000 000 lawsuit.

Kamambo and Zifa board member Philemon Machana are suing Mliswa for making some serious accusations against the administrators in the past week.

The MP alleges that the officials stole the money meant to fund the Warriors during their Afcon campaign, causing delays in paying the players’ allowances.

Mliswa said a total of US$750 000 was diverted to Zifa account which was then used by the officials for personal use.

Kamambo, through his lawyers, also hit former Zifa administrator Hope Chizuzu with a ZW$4 000 000 defamation claim after he made the same allegations.

Chizuzu and Mliswa can, however, avoid the lawsuit if they retracted on their comments.
