Warriors captain Knowledge Musona was denied a great chance by the crossbar in front of an empty net in Zimbabwe’s one-all stalemate with Uganda on Wednesday.

Khama Billiat had restored parity for the Warriors before half time only for Musona, with the goal at his mercy, to struck his shot against the woodwork in the 51th minute.

It was a bizarre moment for the usually clinical and ruthless Musona who also made an error in the opening game of the 2019 Afcon tournament which resulted in Egypt’s goal.

Despite the miss, the captain had a decent game, getting involved in Billiat’s goal where he chested the ball to set up the creator Karuru who was already on the run.

Sunday Chidzambwa’s charges will face DRC in the last group game and still have a mathematical chance of progressing to the next round.
