The Democratic Republic of Congo, who are part of the Zimbabwe Warriors’ group at AFCON 2019, played out a one-all draw with Kenya in Madrid, Spain on Saturday.

The Congolese, who fielded a full strength team which included star forwards Yanick Bolasie and Cedric Bakambu, needed an 87th-minute goal from left back Arthur Masuaku to force a draw.

Florent Ibenge’s side is in Group A at Afcon, together with hosts Egypt, Uganda and the Warriors of Zimbabwe, who beat them in Kinshasa in the qualifiers.

The Central Africans and Zimbabwe will meet on the 30th of June in what is expected to be a thriller as both know each other so well.
