Warriors captain Knowledge Musona says he has put all the setbacks in the past season behind and is focused on helping the national team achieve success at the Afcon 2019.
The 28-year-old struggled for game time at his club Anderlecht and was sent on a six-month loan to Lokeren in January where he suffered an injury which kept him out for almost four weeks.
In an interview with the Herald, Musona said he will put his best performance at the tournament.
“I am very focused and raring to go, the setbacks happened during the season and it’s in the past. I am looking forward and not thinking about club football,” said Musona.
“I am here to fight for my country with people who cherish and love me and I am ready to give them my best and that’s the best thing you can give back to people who support you.”
The Belgian based forward is expected to lead the team against the host nation, Egypt on the opening Match-day on June 21.
