The Premier Soccer League has for the second time this season raised the gate charges for all matches.
The increase is due to the economic changes being experienced in the country.
The cheapest ticket has been doubled to $10 while the VIP is now going for $20 and the VVIP for $50. The new fees, however, will only take effect from Match-day 11 scheduled for the second weekend of June.
PSL CEO Kenny Ndebele confirmed the development in a letter to the Chairman, Farai Jere dated 30 May which reads: “This serves to advise that we have been receiving numerous requests from clubs to increase gate charges at football matches.
“We recommend increasing gate charges with effect from Matchday 11…
“We, however, propose that clubs that wish to continue charging the normal charges should continue to do so and can review at a later stage.”
The first review came before the season started, increasing the lowest charge from $3 to $5.
