The Zimbabwe national team is expected to start training later in the day after arriving in Durban ahead of the Cosafa tournament.
The Warriors will be in action on Saturday against the winners of Group A, Comoros in a quarterfinal match set for Princess Magogo Stadium at 5:30 pm.
Coach Sunday Chidzambwa travelled with a 30-man squad that is mainly composed of those that will form the final Afcon selection. Among them is captain Knowledge Musona, England-based Tendayi Darikwa, Marvelous Nakamba, Alec Mudimu and Tinotenda Kadewere.
First choice goalkeeper George Chigova, however, is not part of the team along with Danny Phiri, Nyasha Mushekwi and Kudakwashe Mahachi, but the quartet will be available to travel to Egypt.
Meanwhile, the national team will continue with Afcon preparations while they are in South Africa.
